Lezarts Urbains is a company centred on hip hop and urban cultures (hip hop dance, rap, graffiti, street art…). On its own or partnered with other organisations in the cultural sector, Lezarts Urbains guarantees a variety of activities to accompany artistic projects, organising events, debates, exhibitions, filming and producing documentary films and recording projects, as well as organising training, internships and workshops. Lezarts Urbains also offers the public a Centre de Documentation Hip Hop (a Centre of Hip Hop Documents), in partnership with la Maison du Livre and la Bibliothèque de Saint-Gilles. It is a centre of specialist resources, for the use of artists, schools, cultural centres, Belgian and foreign programmers and, of course, the wider public. Finally, Lezarts Urbains also involves itself with associated networks, schools, prisons, cultural centres and youth houses for socio-educational projects.
